Brian and Melissa

So a while back I saw a really really amazing wedding invitation. Like it was totally different than most wedding invitations.  It’s nothing that I would personally do, but  ever since then i’ve had this in mind.. the fact that you didn’t have to be like everyone else.  I wanted to do something cool, and not the regular templated stuff.

Then we got engaged and right away I thought “OMG i gotta think of an amazing idea”.  But I couldn’t think of anything!  I’ve been really annoyed, because I wanted to do something that looks amazing, but no matter what, I just couldn’t think of anything. A total mental block.

Then for the engagement party, while the invitations were not that unique, I still got to design them. We bought the paper and envelopes we wanted, and designed the rest. And I think they look amazing.

But still no wedding invitations. So we kind of settled into thinking we’ll just get someone to do them.  So we found a couple places online that had some really nice desgins, and we’re just waiting to get samples in the mail.

Then this morning it hit me!!!!! I finally got the idea I wanted!! It totally just hit me! I was sitting on the couch, watching a documentary at like 7 in the morning, because I had to be at work at 8 today. And BAM! Totally got the most amazing idea. Or at least an idea that I think is amazing. Either way, I totally love it. The invitations are gonna look so .. i duno, I can’t even explain.

Brian went to the washroom, and I did a super super quick mock  up of what I was thinking, and he got this awesome smile on his face.  that was it. We knew it. Those are our invitations!!

Now I just have to go see if printing them is possible.

Neither of us has posted anything in a long time, so I thought I would write a short update.

Almost everything is booked for the wedding now, except for the band and the invitations, both of which we are almost ready to finalize. I can’t believe it is only 5 months away!

And…… the offer that we placed on our dream house was accepted!! So in one month, we move to Richmond Hill! We’re both a little nervous about the change, but we know it is the right move for us both short-term and long. It is a great little community up near Lake Wilcox, and we look forward to being part of it. Now the quest in on to look for a second car that is just as fuel-efficient than our Yaris!
