Brian and Melissa

“Soh… 5 years isn’t enough you should have an internet page?”

Well it seems everything is coming together. We have our food tasting coming up, the invitations are going to be printed this week. We are waiting for a band to get back to us, and the bridesmaids I hear have gotten their dresses.

Still waiting to hear about my dress, also I have to find a make up and hair person still. Uh I guess that it’s. About 3 months left till the wedding. Eek!

Ooh! I think we should go get our cake set up soon. The bakery said they don’t need much notice… I hope 3 months is okay. We should probably go this weekend or something.

We also went looking for wedding rings last week. There is one at Tiffany’s that matches my engagement ring, so i think i’m getting that one. No one in Toronto has the ring that I wanna get Brian.. but Las Vegas does. So it’s a good thing we’re going there in 5 weeks!!!!! :D

Oh AND I still need to buy shoes. I’m so busy I have no time for shoe shopping! Being in the house in the summer it’s too hard to go to the mall, I never wanna leave here. The only place we go now is Canadian Tire to buy gardening things. And Home Depot for a bbq, but i’m not getting into what happened at Home Depot. Needless to say we do not have a bbq. But we went and bought one somewhere else and are getting it delivered on Saturday. Brian invited his family over for Father’s day that day, and we can all have a big bbq… sounds really nice! I’m so excited, I love throwing things at the house here!

Well.. we were supposed to book Steam Whistle last night. But we didn’t…. i’m tired. So not in wedding planning fun mode. The month has been crazy, and now I think we’re both just really tired and don’t really care anymore. Well, we care… i mean, we just dont care to spend tons of time on it. PLUS we just got Rock Band so that’s consuming most of our time… that and me falling asleep on the couch at like 9pm.

At this point, I know Steam Whistle is going to be beautiful. I know Vegas Steam Whistle will be the wedding we’ve envisioned for the past 5 years (or however long we wanted to get married for. ;-))… but there is a lot of planning that has to go into a place like that, and I dunno… i’m demotivated and tired, so i’m in crappy crap banquet hall mode right now. But that may be because I’ve had 2 hours of sleep and i’d like for this week to be over and it’s only Tuesday and bleh.

We realize that after we book this venue it’s going to be a big rush to get everything done in time, because we’re 3 months behind. So i’d have to pick out my dress really soon, which i’m not looking forward too. Although, I have found a nice dress that i want, and it’s getting positive feedback from people I show it to. So i’m hoping that dress shopping will take an hour. And I think i’ll stop eating for the next 9 months… so the dress looks good. I’m already on the best diet, Americano’s in the morning, and then dinner. hahahha it’s great. I feel like crap! :D :D

Difficult

I don’t know why this is all so difficult. I have no expecations on what our wedding shoud be, nor did I ever. Nor does Brian… so the fact that it’s been 3 weeks of discussion and we still aren’t anywhere close to anything, is really stressing me out. And being stressed is stressing me out even more, because if you know me you know I don’t stress over anything, ever.   Vegas was like our dream wedding, and we didn’t even try to discuss having it there for real, because we both know it’s not going to happen, and that’s fine, we’re like whatever it doesn’t need to be in Vegas, it didn’t matter.  But now, all we wanna do is do it in Vegas. It’s so easy… you call the Bellagio, you book it, you’re done and you’re in Vegas, the greatest place on earth. Ack!!

This is the point in the wedding planning (at least I hope it is) where I start figuring out which of my friends to invite to the wedding. At first, I came up with a list of 13 people, but now the number has jumped to 28!! That’s way more people than I thought I knew. And here I was, a few days ago, telling my mom to keep her guest list down so that we could book a specific venue that wasn’t so large!

I also realized that a good number of my friends are married, or at least in pretty serious relationships. I’ll have to try and pair up the single people at the same table so they don’t feel awkward, like I always did when I was single.
